Solo Again

I see the trend.  My wife and daughter leave for distant lands and I return as the prodigal son of Xanga.

AND THERE WAS GREAT REJOICING IN XANGALAND, RIGHT?!?!?!  Riiiiiiight.  Well Dana's family booked a ticket for her to fly home for father's day.  It's a good thing.  So it leaves me with quite a bit of extra time on my hands.  Extra time to work, but still plenty of time on my hands.  So I'm dishing out a little bit of time to say howdy ho to all my people out there.

So what is new with Nate?  Still working as a financial advisor w/ Edwardo Jones.  The market is down, but its all good.  A test of my trust in God.  I just wish I always trusted him that easy.  He's working on me.

My wife is a hottie.  She kinda makes me sick.  She's basically on a snickers diet right now.  Doctor says she is losing too much weight.  (Were it only that all America had this problem!)  She can eat too.  Most times she can keep up with me.  She does keep it healthy, though, for the most part.  Except she has a sweet tooth like me.  She exercises a little bit, but mainly breastfeeding takes care of all her calorie burning needs.

Speaking of exercising...I'm doing it!  And consistently.  We recently gave in and got a membership at the Racine Athletic Club.  I've been hitting the weights and cardio pretty much 4 times a week.  Mikey Reu comes up with me when he can, but he has crazy hours at the Bucks so its not always a go for him.  I've actually gained a bit of weight since starting up there, but I think that is normal with muscle mass growing.  At least I hope that's it.

So I always said I wouldn't be one of those dads that would be wrapped around his daughters finger, but look at this face...

Olivia 10 Months 043

I'm in trouble already.  She's a stinker like her daddy, with her momma's good looks.

What else is new?  We started a plant out with about 100 other people here in Racine.  It's called Living Light Christian Church of Racine.  We all previously attended Living Light in Kenosha.  The church's vision is to not let the church get so big that people can come in to meetings and not get connected with someone.  So pretty much as soon as the church starts to get over 250 people there are plans to start looking at a new plant out.  The Kenosha church just did another plant out to a city south of it in Pleasant Prairie, WI.  It's exciting to see the growth in the church because of what God is doing.  And every time a new plant out begins it causes people to step out of their comfort zones to areas of leadership.  God doesn't want us to float through life and not use our giftings.  I've started leading worship at our church.  It had been close to 10 years since I had last lead worship.  I was rusty, but God has this amazing thing called grace.  Anyways the body is growing and learning.

I hope you are all doing well.  Send me a message and let me know what is new with you.

I'm Back!

Probably just for one post, though.  How is everyone?  Well, let's see...since my last post I have become a father.  Pretty crazy about my little girl, Olivia Grace.

Right now my wife and daughter are both out of town, but I get to pick them up from the airport in the morning!  Honestly don't have a lot going on right now...working, raising our girl and loving my wife, being part of a church plant, and that is most of it right now.  Take care!

Sonuva

Had to drop my wife off at the airport AGAIN.  I hate this game.  Then I'm gonna miss her for a week in May, too.  And on top of it all, she gets to see Hadley this week.  I'm jealous.

In the meantime, everything is going well in prepping for the baby.  Work is excellent, and the NFL draft is Saturday.  What gem will the Cowboys uncover this year?  I'm hoping it will be a good quality/character CB or WR.  Cornerback preferably.  That's all for now.

Take care everybody.

I'm in a heck of a good mood.  My wife has been gone for a week, but at long last...she returns to me.  I have to admit the first day was kind of cool getting to do just about whatever I pleased.  Mainly hangin w/ the guys...but that got old real quick-like, and I have been as close to depressed as I ever have been since about Saturday.  And finally, my wife is coming home.  So I called my secretary, told her I was going to work from home this morning cause I feel like dancing, and I don't think dancing at the office in a suit and tie would be that good of an idea.  It's super windy and snow flakes are falling outside, but all I see is sweet sunshine.

So how the heck is everybody else?  I have recently talked to William "the Knife" Lyon, Kyle Caveman Aichele, Jason "Has a great name for his video work" Weening, and my studly friend/Eli the Golden Eagle: Kyle Choisnet.  But I miss you all.  It is great being near my close friend Mike Reuwer and getting to know a ton of great families here in beautiful Kenosha, WI.  But I miss some of my friends from Teen Mania/ my TX compadres.  Cheers to you all!

Okay, random fact of the week for Nate.  I did Billy Blank's Boot Camp at the lead member's of Skillet's house this week.  I haven't finished his workout yet, but it is getting easier and easier.  But I think my main focus is going to be running/pushups/dips/abs/lunges/cowchasing.

Fact I just realized #1....there are hardly any cows in Wisconsin....that I've seen.  They must hide them  underground.  I miss all the cows in TX.

Fun food to try this week...Peanut Butter on your waffles/pancakes.  Must be accompanied w/ an ice cold glass of milk.  Who out there loves peanut butter as much as I do?  I hope Olivia isn't allergic to it.

Alright folks...I'm going for a little run.  Take care of yourselves, and give me a call.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and make His face shine upon you....

I'm still alive.  I honestly don't have a lot to say.  I work, I come home to my lovely wife, and I share time fellowshipping w/others in my church.  I'm looking into organized ways of outreach.  I think I am going to help tutor kids that kinda have it rough.

I will say that last weekend I took my lovely wife to an Irish Pub & Inn in Milwaukee.  It was a nice weekend to relax and unwind.  Our baby girl is growing and kicking inside my wife's tummy.  It is quite amazing how the whole process goes down.  I'm loving every minute of it.
